OnlyOffice is a tool for collaborative online editing of Office documents. It is integrated in the Collaboratory.drive service.

As with all files in the Drive, OnlyOffice files are automatically versioned. The menu next to each file lets the user view the file history and view prior versions of the file.

Like Microsoft Office and Google Docs, OnlyOffice saves the file automatically to storage as users are working on the document. Contrary to non-collaborative editing tools, the file versions saved include input from all users merged in together. The input does not come from a single user therefore the modifier name next to each file version only lists one of the users doing the collaborative edition at the time of the save.

Example: Alice may have done a lot of the entry in an OnlyOffice file and yet her name might not be listed as a modifier on any file version. This is normal.

When looking for a specific OnlyOffice file version, users should rely more on the date of a file version than on the name of its modifier.
